This 10-day small-group tour, will take you on a remarkable adventure around the lower South Island of New Zealand with a knowledgeable local guide. Guaranteed to take you further off the beaten track, the "Haast" tour journeys down the wild west coast of New Zealand, visiting Franz Josef Glacier, Mount Aspiring National Park and at the vibrant lakeside town of Queenstown. Visit Fiordland, revered as one of New Zealand's most scenic national parks and enjoy a boat cruise through Doubtful Sound. Return north via Otago's historic gold mining townships and mountain bike through parts of the reputable Otago Rail Trail. Your last night will be at Rangitata, a traditional high country sheep station, where you can appreciate 'Lord of the Rings' like scenery or do some white water rafting (optional extra).
