Fátima, with its Sanctuary, is the religious capital of Portugal, and an important place to visit for many people. This is the place where Our Lady appeared to the three children on the 13th of May, 1917. Two of them, Francisco and Jacinta, were beatified by John Paul II on May 13th, 2002. Between 4 to 6 Million pilgrims visit Fátima all year round. The new Church of the Holy Trinity, with its 9,000, seats is considered to be the 4th biggest Catholic temple in the world. The church was designed by Greek Orthodox architect Alexandros Tombazis, who combined light and technology in this circular structure. Near to Fátima, at Valinhos, we will see the houses of the 3 shepherds. Durée: 6 heures
